Named one of National Geographic’s Best Trips in 2012, Belfast, Northern Ireland has blossomed into an exciting travel destination through the years. Luscious in beauty, attractions and some of the friendliest people on earth, you won’t be short of things to do during your vacation here. To make things easier, we’ve put together a list of some of our favorite things to do in Belfast.

    Belfast attractions

    1. Titanic Belfast: Dubbed Europe’s 2016 Leading Visitor Attraction, Titanic Belfast is the world’s largest Titanic visitor experience. Located in the very spot where the Titanic was built, this exhibition offers nine interactive galleries with ways to learn about the ship like never before. Full-scale reconstructions, innovative features, dark rides and special effects all make this a must-see, hands-on destination.

    2. Cave Hill: Believed to be the inspiration behind Jonathan Swift’s ‘Gulliver’s Travels’, Cave Hill is one of the highest elevated spots in Belfast. A visit to the top provides a breathtaking view of Belfast Lough and the city that you won’t want to miss. The landmark received its name from the five caves located on either side of its hill. It’s rich in natural, archaeological and historical features like Belfast Castle – another attraction worth fitting into your trip.

    3. The Crown Liquor Saloon: A step into the Crown Liquor Saloon is a step back in time. With origins dating back to 1826, this bar is adorned in Victorian décor from top to bottom. Ornate mirrors, vigorous wood carvings, mosaic tiles and so much more guarantee you to notice something new each time you stop in for a pint. From the moment you walk in and see the mosaic crown featured on the floor entrance, this gin palace is one you’re sure not to forget.
